THE LORD ADDED
We rejoice with Gino Palazzolo and John Williams in their baptism last Sunday morning and welcome them as our new brothers in Christ. May we all continue to encourage one another as we grow in the Lord.
BUILDING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS PART 3
Do you have trouble reconciling Biblical principles (e.g. counting others better than ourselves, being our brother’s keeper, denying self) and saying “no” to someone? Would you like to learn how to distinguish successful relationships built on the foundation of a mature faith from unhealthy patterns of enabling behavior? Then come join us each Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall for a biblical discussion of these important issues.
B-12
Have you lost a sense of joy and freedom, due to the effects of addictive behaviors? Find help and hope recovering from addictive behavior through “B-12,” our Bible-based 12-step group. We meet every Monday at 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Come and see what the Lord has done! “Gators in Recovery” for college-age meets each Sunday from 5:00-6:00pm in the FLC.
LADIES NIGHT OUT
This month the ladies night out will be Monday, February 20th at 5:30pm at Bono’s Barbeque on Newberry Road. Please sign up on the bulletin board in the hallway if you plan to join us so that adequate reservations will be made.
MONTHLY HOME BIBLE STUDY
This month’s home Bible study will be this Friday, February 10th at the home of Gayla Beauchamp. This study is open to everyone.
CHRISTIAN WOMAN MAGAZINE
Our club membership to Christian Woman magazine is about to expire with the March/April issue. If you would like to renew or start a new subscription, please give Pam Turney a check for $15.98 payable to UCCC with Christian Woman written on the “For” line. Deadline is February 17, 2012.
ELDER’S CORNER
1 Peter 5:2 “Be Shepherds of God’s
flock that is under your care…”
My favorite verse in the New Testament is found in Romans 8:28 which says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who live him, who have been called according to his purpose.” God, our Heavenly Father, just like our earthly father wants and knows what is best for us. Many times it may not seem good at the time, but in the end God knows and gives us what is good for us.
Lendon Suggs
Private prayer with an Elder(s) is available. Contact one of your Shepherds.
2012 DAILY BIBLE READING
More of “The Daily Bible in Chronological Order” (NIV) Bibles are available for purchase ($13) for our 2012 Bible reading plan. For those who prefer to do the readings from a different Bible, we will print up (and post on our web site) a listing of the daily assigned readings. We are currently out of Bibles, but if you would like us to order one for you, please sign up on the bulletin board in the hallway.
Please remember our sick and shut-in of UCCC with cards, visits or a phone call and keep them in your prayers. The names of others (family and friends) are listed on the bulletin board.
