Faith City – where learning the Bible is fun!

University City Church of Christ’s Kindergarten through 5th Grade Bible-class program is known as “Faith City.” Each of five individually themed classrooms facilitates a child’s learning of the Bible and Biblical principles in a new and fun way.  The classrooms include a Theatre, Game Room, Arts & Crafts Room, Café, and Museum – a “city” of sorts.  The curriculum incorporates the themed rooms into each lesson, permitting children to learn the Bible through a variety of teaching styles and activities.

In the Reel Truth Theatre, students may act out a portion of the story they are studying through a play or puppet show, or watch a Bible-themed movie…while enjoying freshly popped popcorn.

At the Faithful Fun Factory, students learn by playing games such as Tic Tac Toe, Wheel of Faith, Jeopardy and Bible Bingo that have been adapted to teach Bible lessons. Memory verses are reinforced through puzzles and timed games.

In the Creation Station, students create arts and crafts projects through hands-on activities.

The Sonrise Diner helps students learn about Bible customs and practices as they sample different types of foods eaten by Bible characters.

The Children’s Bible Museum focuses on history, geography and culture, and students learn through the use of maps, photos and historical artifacts.
