Honoring our community’s foster families

On Sunday, December 11, the University City Church of Christ hosted its 15^th annual “Christmas for the Community.” Coordinating with Partnership for Strong Families (www.pfsf.org), UCCC wanted to say thank you to families of the Alachua County community who open their homes and lives to care for foster children.

A Christmas dinner was provided and each child was presented with a Christmas gift from a UCCC member family. Student athletes from the University of Florida’s basketball, baseball and lacrosse teams autographed posters, and Santa Claus made an appearance.
