"242" Small Groups Ministry
The University City Church of Christ has an active small group ministry that meets each Sunday evening during September through May in member's homes. They are modeled on the concept of First Century Christianity as cited in Acts 2:42. We believe small groups are an excellent way for individual members to connect in a biblical way with other Christians. A small group affords healthy fellowship in a community marked by Christian love and unity. Small groups can help your personal growth as a Christian and help you to minister to our larger community.
It's easy to get lost in a crowd, even though you may be surrounded by hundreds of worshipers on any given Sunday. That's where a UCCC "242" Small Group can help. We want everyone to have the opportunity to be known and cared for and to find their niche. People grow faster spiritually in a caring, interactive group where they can feel free to ask their real questions and sense the support of the group.
Our small groups adapt to the needs and interests of their members, but, in general they study the Bible or a Bible lesson, pray, sing and fellowship. Many share a simple meal.
